Kendrick Lamar Makes History By Being 'HUMBLE'
This has undeniably been an impeccable year for Kendrick Lamar. Since gifting fans with his third studio album, DAMN., the Compton emcee has gone on to produce a handful of riveting visuals, gone platinum twice, and achieved his first No. 1 single with "HUMBLE."
And now it appears as though K. Dot has earned yet another accolade for the standout track.
According to a new report, "HUMBLE" is the first rap song this year to break one million pure sales sans streaming. The Mike WiLL Made-It production is also Kendrick's highest-charting single of his career as a lead artist —"Swimming Pools" peaked at No. 17.
The lead single is also the highest-debuting rap song on the Hot 100 since Eminem's "Not Afraid" debuted at No. 1 in 2010.
Shout-out to K.Dot. The left stroke been viral!
