Cardi B’s Next Chapter: Motherhood, Milk, And Maternal Advocacy
Mother is mothering! Cardi B is leaning into motherhood in a whole new way by pairing her personal experience with advocacy as she reveals a partnership with infant formula company Bobbie. This is the mother of three, soon to be four’s first baby-brand partnership, and she will be serving as Bobbie’s Chief Confidence Officer. This partnership intends to help spotlight pressing issues like lack of paid family leave and maternal mortality, while encouraging mothers to make the feeding choices that matter to them.
According to The Bump, with this partnership, fans will be able to call 732-QQ-CARDI to share their personal stories, which will go straight to lawmakers through Bobbie’s advocacy arm, Bobbie for Change. Eight lucky callers will receive three months of paid leave, mirroring the proposed Family Act’s $580 monthly benefit. Bobbie for Change will also donate $75,000 to three long-term partner organizations driving change for parents: Paid Leave for All, BirthFUND and 4Kira4Moms.
“Parents don’t need side eyes and judgment, they need real talk, real support, and real answers. No one understands this better than the moms at Bobbie. And I’m f***ing proud to join them in this campaign,” Cardi said. “As parents, we’re raising the future generation, we’re feeding babies, and we don’t necessarily have all the answers. So we need a boost of confidence and a society that’s got our back with support structures like paid leave and safe births for all parents.”
In an interview with Vogue, the rapping mommy discussed her struggles with milk production, exhaustion, post-partum depression, and why she believes moms should be supported no matter how they have to feed their children.
“Sometimes your baby wants to eat in two hours and sometimes your baby wants to eat in 45 minutes, and it takes me two hours just to produce two ounces of milk,” Cardi told Vogue. “It almost made me feel like ‘does it make me less of a woman if I can’t produce as much milk as the next woman?’”
Rather than judge mothers for using formula, Cardi insisted that the real issue is whether or not babies are getting their necessary nutrients. “You’re not a bad mom for giving your baby formula,” she said. “You know what’s bad? Not feeding your kid.”
Motherhood is challenging and Cardi isn’t exempt from said challenge. The pregnant star recently dropped her sophomore album, “Am I The Drama?” while making history as the first female rapper to top the Billboard charts with her first two albums. She’s also heading on tour in February 2026, shortly after giving birth.
Cardi is clear that her workaholic path isn’t going to be a blueprint for other mothers. “This is my coping mechanism,” she said. “I don’t want everybody thinking it’s the same for them … Having your first baby really rocks your world. It is a big deal. And it is hard. And it is life-changing.”
