Killer Mike Claims 'Black People Aren't Ready to Revolt S**t'

Does he have a point?

In the wake of more unarmed Black men getting gunned down in the streets of America, Killer Mike joined in as a panelist at the All Black National Convention in Atlanta.

For the event, Mike agreed with his fellow panel members on how to affect race relations in this country. He himself has previously fought for more Black-owned banks to be opened and encouraged people to spend their money with Black-owned businesses. Each panelist gave their opinions on how to combat institutional racism in the U.S. and how to “fight the system.”

When it was Mike’s turn to speak, he asked the audience if any of them knew how to fish, hunt or shoot a gun. Only a few people raised their hands, which prompted the rapper to say, “You aren’t ready to oppose nothing,” and later add, “You are just as much a part of this system as any white person."

He then made his feelings even more clear and followed up with the comment, “Black people, I love you. But I love you enough to tell you that you ain’t ready to revolt s**t.” From there, Killer Mike gave a long list of reasons why his Blacks aren’t as ready to induce change as they think they are. One of his suggestions included building self-sustaining neighborhoods to survive.
