LeBron James Gets Real About Relationships on Savannah’s Podcast

During an episode of Everybody’s Crazy, the Lakers legend shared that in his 40s, he couldn’t be with someone who doesn’t have their own goals or hustle.

Lebron James isn’t here for stay-at-home wives, he revealed.

During an episode of his wife Savannah James's podcast, “Everybody’s Crazy,” the NBA veteran was joined by Druski and Kai Cenat and shared what he was looking for in his early dating stages with Savannah.

“Early on, I needed somebody that could raise the family. I didn't trust anybody to be able to come in the house, you know, besides my mom,” he shared on the podcast.

He continued, explaining how he was “comfortable” with her aspirations and if he was single today, he wouldn’t desire to have a stay-at-home wife.

"For me, who I am at 40 and what I got going on, coming home and just seeing somebody just sitting on the couch every day just sitting there just chilling, that wouldn't float for me,” he said.

He then went down Savannah’s busy schedule and told the guests that’s who she is at her core.

I think it's just who you are and where you are at that point in your life, what kind of moves you make, and I think everybody is different. So, it's been stages for me,” he shared.

In the episode, they discussed people losing interest quickly in others and while James shared he doesn't have much experience on that topic, he said people need to not blame themselves for relationships or potential courtships that fall through, but it’s on the other person.

"If they get off you that fast, then it was never meant to be in the first place,” the Los Angeles Lakers star said.

“You got to look in the mirror and say, 'It's not me. The men, too, 'cause it's some it's some cutthroat, ruthless-ass bitches out here right now too.”

The NBA All-Star has been with his wife since they were in high school, before officially typing the knot on September 14, 2013.

The two of them are now parents to three children, with two sons named Bryce and Bronny, who followed in their dads footsteps and are both basketball players.

Bronny currently plays on the Los Angeles Lakers with his father, making history as the first father-son duo to play together in the league.

They also have one daughter named Zuri.
