Erykah Badu and Her Daughters Sing Colbie Caillat's ‘Try’

Badoula shares a video of an intimate family moment, harmonizing an acappella version of the pop singer's song.

For a little love and light with your day, Amerykah's favorite doula delivers a clip of herself singing acappella with her two female babes.

Erykah Badu shared the video as her latest Facebook status update. In it, she and daughters Puma and Mars lay head to head as they harmonized Colbie Calliat's viral hit, "Try." Badu's signature rift held the foundation as Puma sang out the verses, and the youngest, Mars, stepped into her own spotlight to take the final note.

The song, penned by Calliat, Babyface and Jason Reeves, was released in June along with a lyric video in July that features such stars as Sheryl Crow and Jessie J without any makeup –– to emphasize the message of "Try" (as in, you don't have to). It's become an Internet sensation, accumulating over 27 million views in the first two months.

Badu, also stripped of makeup in her video, posted the clip along with the note, "Do you like you? :-)" As of press time, more than 100,000 gave it the thumbs up.

The footage is the most recent of intimate, self-directed videos Badu has posted, including her first ever e.badu iPhone film of her living out her dream as a NYC street performer.
