'Chicago Fire' Star DuShon Monique Brown's Cause Of Death Officially Revealed

Brown passed away in March at the age of 49.

Details surrounding the tragic death of Chicago Fire star DuShon Monique Brown have officially been revealed.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office officially confirmed that Brown passed away from an infection of the blood of an unknown origin, also known as sepsis of unknown etiology, in a statement to PEOPLE.

Hypertensive cardiovascular disease and obesity were also listed as contributing factors in Brown's death.

Brown, who was well known for her role as Connie on the hit NBC series, passed away in March at the age of 49.
