Ray J Hospitalized in Las Vegas After Pneumonia and Heart Pain Scare

The R&B singer remains under medical care as doctors run tests following a serious health emergency.

Ray J was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital late Tuesday (Jan 6) night after experiencing a severe case of pneumonia accompanied by heart-related pain, TMZ reports.

According to a source close to the R&B singer, he remained hospitalized, where doctors have conducted X-rays and an echocardiogram.

As of now, the results of those tests have not been made public.

The health scare is especially concerning given the “One Wish” singer’s past medical history. Four years ago, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was hospitalized after doctors discovered he had pneumonia and initially believed he may have contracted COVID-19.

Ray J later tested negative for the virus and was moved out of the COVID wing, but the experience reportedly left him deeply shaken.

Sources say the reality star believes his relentless schedule and frequent travel contributed to his current condition, prompting a sobering realization about the importance of prioritizing his health.

During his previous battle with pneumonia, the former “Love & Hip Hop” star reportedly feared he might not survive.

Now, having faced another serious setback, those close to him say the singer is grateful to be on the road to recovery and is focused on taking better care of himself.

This unfortunate situation comes after the entrepreneur was involved in a holiday squabble with his ex, Princess Love, who claimed the “Raydiation” artist pointed a gun at her, BET reports.

The 44-year-old actor denied pointing the firearm at Princess and her family, and told TMZ he “felt afraid” when they showed up at his house. While he admits to holding the gun, he told the outlet he never aimed it at anyone.
