Tamera Mowry-Housley Says Reconnecting With Tia Mowry Was Exactly What They Needed

After a busy season apart, the sisters enjoyed a heartfelt getaway in New York filled with shopping, good food, and the kind of bonding only twins can share.

Tamera Mowry-Housely shares how she and her sister, Tia Mowry, are all good.

The sisters were spotted out in New York City last week in all smiles, and Tamera recently was a guest on “Sherri,” sharing how the sisters “had amazing Italian food, went shopping, but most importantly, bonded.”

She also revealed the reason they aren’t having more of these moments is due to them being “so busy” in their personal lives and while they have their own families, this trip was “good for our souls.”

“I can't wait to see her again,” she told the host.

“We're going to see each other for Thanksgiving. We're going to go to Disneyland together. It was lovely."

Last year, during her appearance on “Hoda and Jenna,” Tia clarified her comments about not being close to her sister, expressing that her words may have been misinterpreted, as reported by BET.com

“I’ve been in this industry for such a long time, and I know that some things can be taken out of context, so it is what it is," she told the hosts.

"As siblings, it is very normal that as we get older, we take on different roles and responsibilities. Some of those roles are being married and being a mother.”

She continued, sharing how her children “lean on her” and Tamera’s lean on her, clarifying she meant they are “not as close in proximity.”

"We don’t live in the same town, and it’s the same thing with my brother. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee."

Tia defending her comments comes from a clip in her reality show, “Tia Mowry: My Next Act,” where she was opening up about her divorce with Cory Hardrict and shared how the sisters aren’t as close as before, as reported by BET.com

"It's times like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close and I could, you know, pick up the phone and call her. But that's just not where we are right now," the 47-year-old said.
