Kimora Lee Simmons Called Out Russell Simmons Over Support Claims
Kimora Lee Simmons accused her ex-husband Russell Simmons of lying about supporting their family, calling out his social media response and demanding he answer his “accusers” in person.
In a series of Instagram stories, the reality TV star pushed back after Russell — who is living in Bali and has said he cannot be extradited to the U.S. — posted on Threads that he’d provided “50,000 a month for 20 years” and accused Kimora of taking stock that belonged to him.
“My ‘girls’ are GROWN WOMEN!” Kimora wrote. “You know these are lies. Why are you typing from thousands of miles away in a non extradition country? Go negotiate and answer your accusers.”
The heated exchange comes after a recent interview with People, where Kimora said she doesn’t “have a relationship really” with her kids’ fathers and described herself as the primary parent. “Usually I would say that I co-parent okay, but the kids are with me full-time,” she said, adding, “My life doesn’t ever revolve around a guy, ever.” Kimora is mother to Ming Lee, 25, and Aoki Lee with Simmons, 16-year-old son Kenzo with Djimon Hounsou, 10-year-old Wolfe with former investment banker Tim Leissner, as well as an adopted son Gary, 16.
Russell’s Threads post also accused Kimora of taking company stock in a 2021 dispute and of using those assets while he was overseas. Kimora denied those claims.
Russell has faced separate allegations of rape and sexual misconduct from multiple accusers — allegations he has repeatedly denied. The back-and-forth has unfolded publicly across social media platforms as both sides (and outsiders) trade sharp claims and denials.
