Famed producer Meghan Stabile, who was known for bridging Jazz and Hip Hop, has reportedly passed away at 39 due to suicide NPR reports.
Her counselor, Bikbaye Inejnema, confirmed with the outlet the cause of death who spoke on behalf of Maureen Stabile, Stabile’s maternal grandmother.
"She knows she didn't meet any of Meghan's community," Inejnema told the publication. "But she does want Meghan's memory to be honored in the way that reflects who she really was, not what she went through."
Many artists paid their respects to Stabile, including Thundercat and bassist Ben Williams.
“To my lovely Meghan, thank you for everything you did while you were here,” Thundercat wrote in the caption.
“Without your work, care and love a lot of us musicians wouldn’t be in the places we are now. Wish you could have experienced the love and care that you treated everyone around you with. You will forever be in our hearts. Rest In Peace.”
Williams started his heartfelt message on Facebook with “Life sucks sometimes.”
We will keep Stabile and her family in our prayers.
