Justin Bieber Nearing Plea Deal in Egging Case

Lawyer in talks to reduce the charges against the singer.

A plea agreement is on the table in the Justin Bieber egging case that will keep the superstar from going to trial.

TMZ reports that Bieber's lawyer Howard Weitzman and the Los Angeles County District Attorney are currently in talks to hash out a deal.

The Biebz will still be charged for allegedly hurling the raw food product at his neighbor's house last year, causing more than $20,000 in damage (for which he may have to reimburse the neighbor). He was facing felony vandalism, but prosecutors are said to be offering him the lesser charge of misdemeanor vandalism and probation.

Bieber isn't looking at jail time, but the L.A sheriff on the case wants the "Confident" singer charged with a felony. Authorities believe Bieber purposely vandalized his neighbor's house, given the amount of damage caused. The incident, which was recorded and posted by TMZ, came at a time when the Canadian crooner was embattled in various arguments with residents in his Calabasas, Calif. neighborhood over speeding, loud parties and the antics of his house guests.

Bieber has since moved out of the neighborhood and relocated to Atlanta. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
