It's not looking good for Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, as the prominent rap industry figure is now facing even more charges by federal prosecutors.

Rosemond, whom the feds accuse of running a drug ring under the guise of a successful talent management company, was already facing drug trafficking, money laundering and obstruction charges. But now he's also being indicted for possession of a submachine gun and silencer, according to the New York Post. The guns were reportedly discovered by Drug Enforcement Administration agents during a search of Rosemond's properties.

"It adds several gun charges," assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Kaminsky told a federal judge of the new indictment.
Under federal law, possession of either a machine gun or a silencer in connection with a drug crime carries a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 30 years.

Rosemond, whose Czar Entertainment at one time served as management for Game, Akon and Brandy, pleaded not guilty to the new charges at a hearing on Friday. The industry impresario was also recently implicated — but not indicted — in the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur at Quad Studios in New York.

To fight the charges, Rosemond has hired attorney Gerald Shargel, who counts Mafia boss John Gotti and several notable entertainment and business personalities as past clients.

"I intend to represent and defend Mr. Rosemond vigorously," Shargel said after the hearing.
