When the photos were first distributed on social media, many assumed they were actual Trump supporters from the KKK. This created much conversation surrounding the racist following that the president-elect has accrued.
Eventually, it was pointed out that the people under the robes were protesters and not supporters.
Although Trump has been endorsed by White supremacists, many feel dressing as the Klan crosses the line
However, some feel it's a provocative way to highlight Trump's racist rhetoric
