Raven-Symoné Calls Orlando Brown the ‘Unhinged Katt Williams’ of His Generation
Raven-Symoné is keeping it real about her former “That’s So Raven” co-star, Orlando Brown. During an interview on the “Hate to Break It to Ya” podcast with Jamie Kennedy, she called him “an unhinged Katt Williams of his generation.” The comment came as Raven reflected on how long she’s been in the industry and the reality that some people you work with stay in your life, while others don’t.
Even with all the headlines tied to Orlando over the years, Raven made it clear she still has love for him. “I think he’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever worked with,” she said. “He knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s smart.” She also made sure to clear up that her comment wasn’t a jab at Katt Williams, saying, “Not you, Katt, you’re hinged and I love you for it.”
Raven didn’t get into details about Orlando’s personal history but hinted she understands it. She described him as being in his “attack era,” meaning he’s moving through the industry in a bold way that keeps people talking. “That’s why I don’t combat Orlando,” she said. “Some of the things he says, I’m not mad at him for. You have to know how to bait people, tell the truth, and leave on a button. He does that perfectly.”
She added that while she’s not mad at him, she’d appreciate if he stopped mentioning her in interviews. “Just keep my name out your mouth,” she said with a laugh, adding that “some of the stuff he says is real,” but didn’t go into what she meant.
Raven has praised Orlando before, calling him a “comedic genius” earlier this year. Despite their ups and downs, her tone reveals a balance of care and boundaries that acknowledges his talent while prioritizing peace.
Orlando, who fans also know from “Major Payne” and “The Jamie Foxx Show,” has recently been in the spotlight for something different: his new business venture, Orlando Brown’s Million Dollar Chicken, an Arizona-based chicken franchise aiming to make a major mark in the food world.
