Jay Electronica Says His Album Is Done, Features Jay-Z \r \r
Jay Electronica set the hip hop world ablaze in 2009 with his Just Blaze produced single "Exhibit C," but in 2010, despite being signed to Jay-Z's nascent Roc Nation label, the enigmatic rapper from New Orleans was largely absent. Now, Jay Elect says his long-awaited debut album, Act II: the Patents of Nobility (the turn), has been completed and is coming "soon."
"Album soon come. Ask Bun B, he heard the album in its entirety," Electronica said in a tweet that has since been deleted. He went on to say that only a short list of collaborators and friends have heard the album, including Jay-Z and the mother of his child, Erykah Badu.
Electronica said there was one song on the album in particular he couldn't wait for people to hear, which features the Big Homie himself.
"i wanna let yall hear this one record... called "Road To Perdition" feat. Mr. Carter so bad," he tweeted.
Jay-Z announced the addition of Jay Electronica to Roc Nation at a secret show in New York late last year. The industry-shy rapper said Hov made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
