The NFL star took his 11-year-old stepson on a visit to the University of Texas at Austin on March 14, documenting the day on Instagram as the two toured the campus and checked out the Longhorns’ facilities. Wilson shared clips of Future moving through locker rooms, football spaces, an auditorium and baseball batting cages, turning the visit into a full-on campus preview. 

Future looked ready for the moment, rocking a Texas Longhorns T-shirt and giving the school his seal of approval. “I love Texas… everything’s bigger in Texas!” he said in the clip, while Wilson kept the energy light and proud, captioning the post, “Hook ’Em! Fun time! Future’s first campus visit!” 

The visit is yet another reminder of how public and intentional Wilson has been about fatherhood in his blended family. He has long embraced being a stepfather to Ciara’s son, Future, whom she shares with rapper Future, and he has spoken openly about seeing that role as a blessing rather than a burden. The couple also share three children together (Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess), making the Texas trip feel less like a recruiting stop and more like a family milestone in the making. 

For Wilson, who played collegiate sports before moving on to the NFL, the moment also carried big legacy energy. A college campus visit with a kid this young is not about decisions just yet. It is about planting a seed, letting him see the scale of the dream, and making the future feel real in a way that’s both playful and personal.
