Drake Surprises Fans Onstage At DaBaby’s Toronto Concert
‘Tis the season of giving, and Drake fan or not, it’s hard to argue that the 6 God has been anything but generous in 2019.
Last night, Drizzy came through and surprised fans with a guest appearance at the Toronto stop of DaBaby’s current KIRK Tour. Snippets of the moment spread around the internet Tuesday (December 10) night as fans witnessed the pleasantly surprising guest. At some point during the night, Drake took the stage and launched into an impromptu performance of “Money in the Grave” to get the crowd hype, as DaBaby briefly took a step back and played hype man.
As the concert came to a close, Drake took the time to shower the North Carolina MC with some praise
“I used to sit at my house and I used to watch videos of you doing interviews on Say Cheese TV [and] doing all the old songs you used to do,” Drake praised the “Suge” rapper. “2018, 2017...I used to watch you love your city [and] rep your city. And look, we don’t say this to each other enough as rappers but I want to say congratulations. You killing it.”
With that said, the Scorpion rapper took that as his cue to peace out - but not before leaving the audience with some major news as a parting gift
Before he left the stage, Drake added, “I love you with all my heart. I’m gonna go back to my crib and try to finish my album so we can turn up in 2020.” The crowd instantly erupted into raucous cheers of excitement at confirmation that a Drizzy production will be waiting for them in 2020.
Following Drake’s lead, DaBaby eagerly added that he’s going “to try to pull up on him later and put a m*therf**king verse on the album,” which elicited another chorus of cheers from the crowd.

After the show, Drake popped on Instagram, where he shared a clip of the moment and thanked DaBaby for sharing the stage with him. DaBaby reciprocated the mutual appreciation in his comments, writing “Preciate you again my G.”
This sweet moment caps off what has undoubtedly been a big year for DaBaby in which the 2019 XXL Freshman honoree was nominated for a Grammy after a string of majorly successful, charting-topping releases. It will definitely be exciting to see what he and Drake have in store for 2020.
