Tisha Campbell Opens Up About Plastic Surgery and Self-Love at BET Awards 2025
Tisha Campbell is opening up about her new look.
While on the red carpet at the BET Awards 2025, the Martin alum spoke to Entertainment Tonight about recently undergoing a “mommy makeover.”
The popular procedure describes a personalized combination of cosmetic surgery procedures designed to help women restore their pre-pregnancy bodies or enhance their appearance after childbirth.
“I’m doing great. Yes. It’s snatched now, so that’s good,” told the outlet.
“For those who don’t know, I recently got plastic surgery. You know, it was a mommy makeover. I had extra skin from the baby and a little bit of droppage here and a little droppage there and they tightened me together.”
Campbell also revealed that her experience inspired some of her friends to consider the procedure.
She continued, “And so I happened to be working on the ‘Miss Pat Show’ with Taj [Tamara Johnson-George]and Lelee [Leanne Lyons] from SWV, and we got a chance to talk, and I convinced them to call the doctors, and they wanted mommy makeovers too and I just feel like, you know, we should be feeling good about ourselves.”
The veteran actress emphasized that her decision was entirely personal and not about pleasing anyone else.
She noted that although she is a single mother and not quite ready for dating, ”I just wanted to feel good for me and that’s what this was allowing me to have, you know, just to feel good about me and I wanted.”
In the midst of this self-love journey, Campbell is also back on the road, co-headlining the Dayum Gina Tour with longtime friend and comedian Finesse Mitchell.
The title, of course, nods to the phrase Martin Lawrence’s character famously shouted in frustrated admiration of Campbell’s role as Gina Waters on “Martin.”
