The Clipse React to Justin Bieber’s Viral Shade Amid Album Battle
Is there beef between The Clipse and Justin Bieber?
Last weekend, Bieber released his album, “Swag,” the same day the hip-hop duo released their album, “Let God Sort Em Out,” leading many to speculate if this was done intentionally by Def Jam, Bieber’s current label and the group’s former.
Kerwin Frost, a DJ, had posted an Instagram story Vibe.com reported, throwing shade at the Clipse while praising Bieber, sharing it’s the “only” album that mattered upon both releases.
“Justice is served,” Frost wrote in his story.
“@lilbieber emptied the clip. THIS IS THE ONLY ALBUM THAT MATTERS RIGHT NOW. This album is way better then the @clipse. @clipse is for bitter grown men who collect kaws dolls and shop at kith and union.”
The “Baby” singer then reposted the post in his story, leading fans to question Bieber’s motives.
Looks like the Virginia duo caught wind of his action, responding during an appearance on “Big Boy’s Neighborhood.”
“I don’t know if you clicking something, don’t know if you reading it or not,” Malice said during their appearance, appearing to give Bieber the benefit of the doubt.
“I mean, people can be very specific if they want to be, but what does it mean to me? Nothing. We doing what we doing out here. The fans love it, you bringing the music back. Real hip-hop.”
Pusha T continued, sharing they were more intentional and concerned about the audience’s approval instead of the industry.
“This is street hip-hop,” he shared.
“Look how far street hip-hop has come. Like look at what it’s being measured up against.”
