André 3000 Breaks Hot 100 Record with Song From New Album ‘New Blue Sun’

The OutKast artist and his flute are doing numbers.

André 3000 had fans excited for whatever music he planned to drop after announcing that he planned to release his debut solo album just a week before doing so.

According to Billboard, the OutKast artist’s song “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album But This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time” from his new LP New Blue Sun entered the Hot 100 at No. 90, becoming the longest-running song to have ever hit the chart.

The track, which has a run time of 12 minutes and 20 seconds, surpassed Tool’s “Fear Inoculum,” which was 10:21 in length and peaked at No. 93 in August 2019.
