BET Awards 2025: Chris Brown Wins the Viewers' Choice Award

The award, presented by McDonald's, honors the most popular artists in music.

The BET Awards 2025, hosted by Kevin Hart, gave fans the power to crown their favorite hit of the year, and the competition was stacked. 

With songs that ruled the charts, dominated TikTok, and sparked viral moments, the Viewers’ Choice Award reflected the pulse of the culture. 

When all the votes were counted, it was Chris Brown’s “Residuals” that took home the Viewers’ Choice Award, proving once again that Breezy's loyal fan base doesn’t play when it comes to showing up.

Released as a standout from his “11:11 (Deluxe)” project, the single quickly gained traction on streaming platforms and social media with fans.

This year’s contenders included GloRilla’s Friday-ready “TGIF,” Latto’s braggadocious baddie anthem “Brokey,” and Doechii’s moody standout “Denial Is A River.” Drake’s experimental “Nokia” also made the cut, as did “Like That” from Future and Metro Boomin featuring Kendrick Lamar—one of the most talked-about records of the year for reasons we all remember.

Kendrick, who’s been having a banner year post-rap beef, doubled up in the category, also earning a nod for “Luther” featuring SZA
