OutKast and Salt-N-Pepa Among 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced its 2025 class of inductees, with OutKast and Salt-N-Pepa among the groundbreaking artists set to be honored.
The lineup was revealed during a themed episode of “American Idol,” with host Ryan Seacrest sharing the names of this year’s performers and award recipients.
OutKast, the iconic Atlanta duo of Big Boi and André 3000, will be inducted under the Performer category, which is reserved for artists whose originality and impact have helped change the course of rock and roll.
With classic albums like “ATLiens,” “Aquemini,” and the Grammy-winning “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below,” the group redefined Southern rap and reshaped the hip-hop landscape at a time when the genre was primarily dominated by East and West Coast rivalries.
The duo had been eligible since 2019, marking this year as their first nomination and induction.
Meanwhile, Salt-N-Pepa, the first female rap group to achieve platinum success and win a Grammy, will receive the Musical Influence Award. Together, Cheryl “Salt” James, Sandra "Pepa" Denton, and Deidra “DJ Spinderella” Roper helped bring hip-hop into the pop mainstream with crossover hits like “Push It,” “Shoop,” and “Whatta Man,” while breaking barriers for women in the genre.
The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event will be streamed live on Disney+ and a special will air on ABC at a later date.
