Rapper G$ Lil Ronnie, His 5-Year-Old Daughter Reportedly Killed At Texas Car Wash

Officers believe that the rapper and his daughter were victims in a targeted shooting.

Fort Worth rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his 5-year-old daughter were tragically gunned down at a North Texas car wash on Monday, March 2.

According to CBS News, the rapper, real name Chuckie Smith, 30, and his child were at a Slappy's Express Car Wash on Forest Hills Drive in Fort Worth around 11 a.m. when two men exited a white, four-door Kia and approached the victim’s vehicle, which was parked in a bay. One witness claimed that about 20 to 30 gunshots were fired before the suspects fled.

While one suspect has been identified, with a warrant issued for his capital murder, neither man has been named. In a statement, Slappy’s said it would be closed for at least two days pending investigation. “We are shocked, appalled and deeply troubled by the senseless and violent events that occurred today,” the business stated.

Ronnie’s aunt, Stella Houston, was outraged at the shooting and told Fox 4 that her niece had celebrated her fifth birthday on Sunday. “He was a rapper. He didn’t bother nobody. He didn’t target nobody. He was a family man, and he was going around rapping, okay. Why would you target him?” Houston said.

She added, “Cleaning the car out, and somebody came through shooting and killed him and the baby," she said. "And a baby. His baby. A baby!”

While he was popular in the local Texas circuit, Ronnie’s most popular singles were “Hoodfame Killuminati,” “Red Roses” and “Wops.”
