Raven-Symoné Makes Big Reveal To Fans About How To Say Her Name
Since her early days at Disney Channel, fans thought they were pronouncing Raven-Symoné’s name correctly.
The 37-year-old actress took to her TikTok account on Friday (Jan. 20) to set the record straight. She captioned the video, “Yo, that’s Raven-Symoné. It’s pronounced See-mon-ye.”
Using the TikTok sound that convinces someone of another person’s presence by saying “Shut up, it is not,” Raven says “yes it is,” as the pronunciation appears on the screen.
“Those who know…KNOW… fit was cray that day,” she said, referring to her Gucci cardigan she wore as she sat in the car.
Throughout her long tenure, Raven has pronounced her name as “Sim-moan” and so have her fans.

A vast majority of commenters referred to the actress’ Disney Channel mini commercial where she doesn’t pronounce it as “see-mon-ye.”
