James Bond and Charlie Brown continue to dominate the box office. Spectre and The Peanuts Movie spent their second weekends at the top of the charts, leaving a trio of new releases in the dust. 
Spectre took $35.4 million for its second weekend in release. Though the latest James Bond film, starring Daniel Craig as 007, still comes second to Skyfall as the biggest Bond movie ever, the film continues to kick butt globally. In China, it earned more than $48 million, making it the biggest Chinese debut ever for an international non-3D film.
The Peanuts Movie also had a solid second weekend, holding on to second place with an estimated $24.2 million and its domestic total of $82.5 million.
The news gets worse further down the charts. None of the new releases this weekend scored in the double digits, with holiday-themed Love the Coopers being the best, taking third place and an estimated $8.4 million. 
The 33, about the true story of the Chilean mining incident in 2010 and starring Antonio Banderas, couldn't overtake Matt Damon's The Martian for fourth place (with an additional $6.7 million) and instead took fifth place with $5.8 million.
In limited release, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s By the Sea, which stars the beautiful couple in their first on-screen appearance together since Mr. & Mrs. Smith, earned a dismal $95,444. Guess people are finally over "Brangelina."
Later this week, Chiwetel Ejiofor's thriller The Secret in Their Eyes and Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 will beat the Thanksgiving crowds at the box office. It's been a big fall for Ejiofor, who also stars in The Martian. Watch our throwback interview with the actor below:
