Michael Jackson's Secret Weapon Is Coming to Bill Cosby's Rescue

The comic announced the news on social media.

Since two of Bill Cosby's lawyers backed out from his case recently, the fallen comedian has been on the hunt for a replacement, and it seems as he's found a new and highly experienced face to fill the role.

Taking to Twitter, Cosby revealed that he's hired Thomas Mesereau, who famously won an acquittal for the late Michael Jackson on all 14 molestation-related charges, to lead his new legal team.

Mesereau is no stranger to high-profile celebrity cases. Aside from the King of Pop, he's also represented Mike Tyson and Robert Blake.

Joining Mesereau will be attorneys Kathleen Bliss of Nevada and Sam Silver of Pensylvania.

This sees a complete turn around for Cosby's legal team which has been scanty for a few weeks after his former lawyers, Brian McMonagle and Angela Agrusa, both filed to withdraw from the case earlier this month following the infamous hung verdict.

According to Page Six, both McMonagle and Agrusa are expected to be officially released from the case on Tuesday. However, Agrusa will reportedly remain as civil counsel.

Cosby is being tried on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for allegedly drugging and sexually attacking former Temple University staffer Andrea Constand

The retrail is set for November 6, 2017.
