In case you missed it, comedians Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy are about to have another thing in common: a grandchild.

Their kids, Jasmin Lawrence and Eric Murphy, recently celebrated the upcoming arrival of their baby girl with a baby shower — and from the looks of it, the vibes were nothing but love. The couple shared a few sweet moments from the celebration on their social media accounts, posing with family and friends as they soaked up the special day. But the real moment came when Jasmin revealed their baby girl’s name.

In a video posted after the event, the mom-to-be gently rubbed her belly and shared the name: Ari Skye Murphy.

“Mommy loves you so much,” she said in the clip. “This day is all for you.” Jasmin also wrote across the video, “My baby 💗 Ari Skye Murphy 💗,” making it clear she’s already deep in her mama era.

The couple first announced they were expecting back in February with a black-and-white maternity photo posted to Instagram. In the images, Jasmin wore an off-the-shoulder dress that showed off her growing bump, while Eric rested his head on her stomach in one shot.

“Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift ❤️❤️❤️,” they captioned the post.

Jasmin and Eric have been sharing life updates with fans for a while now. After dating for several years, Eric proposed in November 2024 with a romantic setup full of candles, roses, and flower petals. Jasmin shared the moment on Instagram, where she could be heard gushing over the ring before saying yes.

“It’s beautiful! Oh my gosh,” she said before the couple sealed the moment with a kiss.

Then last year, fans found out the pair had already taken the next big step. Eddie Murphy revealed during an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” that the couple quietly got married in a small church ceremony.

“They went off and got married at the church,” he said, adding that it was just the two of them and the preacher.

He also joked that the low-key ceremony probably made Martin Lawrence happy, because now he doesn’t have to pay for a huge wedding. For now, the couple seems focused on their next chapter, welcoming baby Ari Skye Murphy. And with Martin and Eddie as granddads, it’s safe to assume that little Ari is about to grow up surrounded by a whole lot of laughs.
