The second season of Empire doesn’t start until the fall, but Lee Daniels is doing a little scouting for more guest stars. Daniels has his eye The Weeknd  as a “potential candidate.”

He and the Canadian singer posed for a photo, which the show creator put up on Instagram, teasing the guest appearance.

Though nothing is officially confirmed on “The Hills” singer’s end, fans have been responding on Daniels’s Instagram page, and they love the idea.

Empire returns September 23.
