Absolutely despicable.

New court documents, as reported by PennLive, reveal that a boy told former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno back in 1976 that he was molested by ex-assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

If true, the revelation would signal that Joe Pa shamelessly ignored Sandusky being a sexual predator all those years right until Paterno's death in January 2012. Sandusky was convicted of 45 counts of child sex abuse in June 2012 and is currently serving 30 to 60 years in prison.

The revelation would also mean that Sandusky was molesting boys well before the 1994-2009 timeframe of instances that he was convicted for.

Part of the new court order, as reported by USA Today, reads, “in 1976, a child allegedly reported to PSU’s Head Coach Joseph Paterno that he [the child] was sexually molested by Sandusky.”

The same filing also reads that other Penn State football coaches witnessed "inappropriate contact between Sandusky and unidentified children" in 1976 in addition to instances in 1987 and 1988.

A BuzzFeed report mentions that Judge Gary Glazer filed an opinion Wednesday stating, “there is some evidence of record” of Sandusky's child molestation between 1976 and 2001.

The saddest part of these new court documents is that Sandusky's child sex abuse could have seemingly been prevented right then and there in 1976, but instead it went on for years.

Horrific.
