According to an unofficial report from TMZ, Eminem's father, Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., has reportedly died at 67 years old from an apparent heart attack. He was allegedly at his home near Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the time of his death.
It is not clear exactly when Mathers Jr., who went by Bruce, reportedly died. TMZ confirmed the devastating news with family sources and neighbors.
Eminem has not yet confirmed his father's death.
Eminem's mother, Debbie, said she married Bruce when he was 22 and she was 15. They had Eminem, real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, two years later. Shortly after his birth, the couple split up.
Em and his mom moved to Detroit to live with some of her family while Bruce moved to California.
Throughout the years, Eminem shared countless anecdotes in interviews of trying to get in touch with his father by writing letters, all of which provided him no luck, leading to the rapper's estranged relationship with his father.
