It's been a dramatic few days for Kehlani, who was hospitalized on Monday evening following an apparent suicide attempt. Now, the R&B singer's ex-boyfriend Kyrie Irving is speaking out on his role in the events.
Rumors have been flying that Kehlani attempted to take her own life after being accused of cheating on Irving with her ex, PartyNextDoor. The source of the rumor was a photo the OVO Sound artist posted to his own Instagram of himself in bed with Kehlani, caption, “After all the shenanigans, still got the R&B singer back in my bed.”
Late last night, the NBA player posted a series of now-deleted tweets clearing up the rumors and also offering support to his ex. "It's been hard to see what's been going on and not address the truth. I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all of this nonsense that could have been avoided, but me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out," the Cleveland Cavaliers player wrote.
"It's unfortunate that it's received so much attention but it's become bigger because of a post that was misunderstood," he added. "Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family. My only focus the Game I love to play every night."

Kehlani reiterated on Wednesday that no cheating was involved.

"Don't believe the blogs you read," she said in a deleted IG post. "No one was cheated on and I'm not a bad person... Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.. But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow.. But God saved me for a reason, and for that... I must be grateful.. Cuz I'm not in heaven right now for a reason... On that note.. Bye Instagram."
Irving and Kehlani both have bigger things to focus on at the moment than social media drama — he on the NBA playoffs, her on recovery — so hopefully that's the end of that.
