Many are demanding an apology from Lauren Podell.
Reporter Lauren Podell has resigned from news station WDIV-TV, officials announced on Wednesday. Her resignation came a day after a news conference in which Detroit political consultant Sam Riddle and the Rev. W.J. Rideout said Podell allegedly used a racial slur while off-air in March of this year, reported The Detroit News.
Riddle alleged that Podell told a co-worker, 'I am tired of reporting on these ni**ers killing one another in Detroit'
Riddle and Rideout demanded the station fire the anchor, but she quickly resigned instead
However, many are calling for an official apology from Podell, who has yet to release a statement
While others fear she'll take her racism elsewhere...
