Today, BET announced that Keke Palmer has been unanimously appointed to its Board of Advisors. Formed earlier this month under BET President Louis Carr, the Board brings together cultural icons, business leaders, and industry visionaries to help steer the ongoing growth of the 45-year-old network as a key player at the crossroads of media, community, and culture.

The Board serves as a strategic and cultural sounding board – offering insight, perspective, and accountability as BET expands its reach and champions the voices and stories that move culture forward. Palmer's appointment extends that founding vision, pairing the architects of BET's legacy with the talent defining its next chapter.

Palmer embodies the qualities the Board was built to represent. Over more than two decades, she has become one of the most versatile forces in entertainment, an Emmy and NAACP Image Award–honored actor, host, and producer whose milestones include being the first Black actress to star as Cinderella on Broadway. A rare connective talent, she moves fluidly across genres, generations, and platforms

Her ties to BET run deep. Palmer became one of the youngest people ever to anchor her own talk show, BET's Just Keke, making the appointment a homecoming to the platform that has supported her since day one.

Her insight, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset will be invaluable as we continue positioning BET for the next generation."

Entertainment and music have been central to Keke’s story from the beginning. From her early single “Bottoms Up” to co-writing the “True Jackson, V.P.” theme that became a generational anthem, through the “Virgo Tendencies” EPs on her own Big Bosses Record Label, to her deeply personal 2025 album “Just Keke,” she has used music as a vehicle, bringing her lived experience into the work that resonates with others.

Beyond the screen, she has built ventures that open doors for others, including her digital network KeyTV and Practice by Palmer, the wellness platform she launched in

2026 as her latest entrepreneurial and giveback endeavor, designed to bring movement, mindfulness, and self-discovery to her own community. That work sits alongside sustained philanthropy supporting young women and underserved communities.
