Ghostface Killah's Son Releases 2 Songs To Address Their Estranged Relationship

Infinite Coles Says ‘Sweetface Killah’ and ‘Dad & I’ aren’t a diss, but a plea for connection after over a decade apart.

Legendary Wu-Tang rapper Ghostface Killah’s son, Infinite Coles, has released two new tracks from his upcoming album, “Sweetface Killah,” and the songs address the father and son’s complicated relationship. In one of his tracks, “Dad & I,” Coles wants the world to know that his songs are not diss tracks.

In his upcoming album, he shared with Vibe the title of one of the singles, also titled "SweetFace Killah," and he claims the name derives from what fans were calling him in his DMs. "I was depressed at first, but then I was like, wait — they kinda ate that. So now that’s my album name."

Speculation around whether or not Coles was coming for his father in the song “Sweetface Killah” bubbled up on social media, especially with lyrics like, "How you in a Mack truck, but forget you a father/I be seeing n----- hating, but I don't even bother/Is it me? Am I not your cup of tea?/Are my pants not low, like your self-esteem?/Do I need to f--- a bitch, just so you could see?”

Coles identifies as a gay man, and in his new music, he directly addresses the way he’s been received by his father and the stigma around his sexuality. In "Dad & I," he sings, “You never talk to me, said I'm not living right/ You tell me to man up, yea/ When I put on makeup, yea…”

He goes on to ask, “Can’t you see that I’m worth it?”

Coles responded to fans on social media who assumed he was attempting to diss Ghostface Killah, and he told VIBE, "It’s very positive and about nothing but love. I have no hate towards my father at all.”

He goes on to say, "I love my father, I just wish we could connect and understand one another and respect each other. I haven’t seen my father in over 10 years. I always wonder if he’s okay. I wonder if we will be able to mend or have a conversation before one of our times is up. I just always wonder."

In 2023, Coles attempted to reach his alleged absentee father via an Instagram post, saying, “A man who doesn’t take care of his family will NEVER be blessed …. @realghostfacekillah ghosted us for too long !!!”

Here’s hoping the father and son can reconcile. Infinite Cole’s Sweetface Killah will be out Dec. 5.
