During his monologue, Chance acted out his version of a Thanksgiving musical hit that was relatable to say the least.

“Mariah Carey is at that (Rockefeller Center) tree-lighting every year singing All I want for Christmas Is You, and it’s not because she loves giant trees,” he said. “It’s because she loves having a third assistant whose only job is yelling at the second assistant.”

He then brought the entire cast on stage at various points. The aunt who showed him her gun was perhaps the clincher.

When it comes to skits, three perhaps stood out the most, starting with Chance as a hockey reporter. We were dying when he highlighted that Kenan Thompson was in the crowd as the only black person at the game.

The “Rap History” skit was also amazing, as Chance was a member of the “Soul Crush Crew.” It was supposed to be a clash between leaders of old school hip-hop versus the new crowd, but ended up having both come together over some weed “with a liiiiitle bit of crack.”

The night belonged to Chance The Rapper’s last skit though. “Come Back Barack” was a masterpiece. While it was undoubtedly hilarious, did anyone else start to shed a tear or two?

Eminem’s performance was also impressive. Joined by Skylar Grey on the piano, the Detroit legend did renditions of “Walk on Water,” “Stan,” and “Love the Way You Lie.”
