O’Shea Jackson Jr. Reacts To Logic Covering Dad Ice Cube’s Classic ‘It Was A Good Day’

The actor took issue with Logic referencing his mother in the song.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. is providing his thoughts about a recent cover rapper Logic did of his father Ice Cube’s classic song “It Was A Good Day.”

On Monday (March 6), the Maryland rapper shared a live performance of the 1992 track. In the video, he rapped the track word for word, attracting attention on social media.

Particularly, Jackson Jr. seemed to take issue with Logic rapping a line about his mother, Kimberly Woodruff.

“I respect Logic. I think he can rap. And that’s all I really need,” he captioned a repost of the video in a tweet.. “But bruh… if [I] ever hear you sing about my mother again… it’s gone be a misunderstanding lmaoooo.”

After a Twitter user tweeted at O’Shea to say they didn’t know Kimberly was his mother, he added: “Imagine having to be your pops hype man and doing that part. I’ll wait… pretty awkward right… So now when either me or my brother [on] stage with him the line is ‘I got a beep from HER’ instead of my moms name.”

Cube raps about Kimberly on “It Was A Good Day” and married her the same year it came out.  “I got a beep from Kim, and she can f**k all night,” he raps on the track.
