On Mar. 17, a shooting took place at Atlanta’s Metro Fun Center in southwest Atlanta after an argument moved outside and resulted in gunfire that ultimately killed 31-year-old Jackson.

A man who is said to have argued with her reportedly waited until Jackson was leaving the venue before fatally shooting her.

“This is truly an atrocity. A young lady has lost her life over a bowling ball,” Homicide Commander Lt. Ralph Woolfolk told WGCL. “We talk about conflict resolution time and time again and this is an escalated dispute, so we will work this case through the night and we will find the person responsible.”

Jackson and the rapper share a 14-year-old son together.

The suspect was arrested on felony warrants of murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, police said.

Young Thug has not yet responded to the tragic incident and reportedly will not be releasing a statement according to a representative for the artist
