Vince Staples is already one of hip hop’s funniest, and that usually comes from social media. The Long Beach native seems to want to expand on that however and has taken his trademark observations to Yelp.

Vince recently hit up a chicken spot in Kentucky so good, he had to let the world know about it.

“The menu on the wall is a warning of things to come. You will go stupid,” he said while in Louisville for Bryson Tiller’s homecoming show. “A man like me needs Pimento cheese on the medium please and don’t you dare hold that grease. This is America. Home of the brave and land of the free. The meal might as well had been free because the prices are out of this planet.”

That wasn’t it. The “Senorita” rapper put his restaurant appearance in a historical context, one that’s sure to have people flying in the door. “If you love your life and you love freedom, you must visit. The Civil War wasn’t won for you to remain ignorant.” Oh and he ended with the perfect line, you know, because he’s in Kentucky.

“F*ck The Colonel.”

After XXL uncovered the review and posted it on their Instagram, Staples apparently got hit up by a lot of people from the area and beyond, sending him links of their music, because of course that follows. He told Twitter about it Sunday afternoon (March 20).

While his review is hilarious. Vince Staples isn’t the first to Yelp up a place he’s been. Wale did the same in 2013 after attending a few spots in both San Francisco and Los Angeles.
