‘Euphoria’ Renewed For Season 3

HBO made the announcement ahead of the season two finale.

HBO has announced that their highly popular teen drama, Euphoria, will be renewed for a third season, following a blockbuster sophomore debut which became the most viewed episode in HBO series history while more than doubling their viewership across all platforms, from 6.6 million to 14 million in one year.

“Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken Season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart. We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into Season 3,” stated Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming in a news release.

Created, written, directed and executive produced by Sam Levinson —  with Drake also serving as an executive producer — the series is an adaptation of an Israeli program of the same name and follows Rue Bennett (Played by Zendaya) who tries to find her path amongst the pressures of addiction, love and loss.

Actors Hunter Schafer, Nika King, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, Javon Walton, Dominic Fike, Storm Reid, and Austin Abrams are also all regulars on the program.

The news was also tweeted out by breakout star Angus Cloud who plays “Fez” on the show.
