Dr. Heavenly Kimes Launches Political Campaign for Georgia State Representative in District 93
Dr. Heavenly Kimes is taking her trademark sparring into the political arena.
The reality star has exclusively confirmed with People, her candidacy on the Democratic ticket for Georgia State Representative in District 93.
Her campaign will center on healthcare access, economic prosperity, education reform, and support for small businesses. She told the outlet that she’s deeply passionate about these issues, shaped by her years of working with patients and entrepreneurs.
"I’ve spent my life helping people build confidence, start businesses, and take control of their futures," she shared.
"Now I’m bringing that same passion to the State Capitol. District 93 deserves someone who’s not just talking, but doing."
She expressed that while she’s not a politician, she’s not afraid to stand up for what she believes in.
"I'm not a career politician. I’m a mom, a doctor, a business owner — and I’m not afraid to stand up for what I believe in," Kimes expressed in a statement.
"I’m running to serve, and I’m ready to work."
The 54-year-old is set to begin her campaign trail on Tuesday (July 8th) with a community rally at 5 p.m. outside the Georgia State Capitol in downtown Atlanta.
"This is a historic moment, and I extend a heartfelt invitation to all my constituents and supporters," stated Kimes in a press release according to Rochester First.
"Join us, lend your energy, and together, let's demonstrate the impactful force of community power."
Kimes will be introduced by “Married 2 Medicine” co-star Quad Webb, who will serve as her Campaign Manager.
