Kanye West Paris Tracklist Is Fake

Yeezy is the latest artist to get looped into an album scam.

An overzealous music lover — or troll? — pulled the okie doke on Kanye West fans, unleashing a forged blueprint for the creative genius's upcoming album.

The screenshot of a track list for an album titled Paris, featuring much of Ye's G.O.O.D. Music crew, Big Sean, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, as well as Lana Del Ray, Migos, and Bon Iver, began circulating via Instagram this week. The document is detailed, showing the names of 14 songs, including one called "Pharrell Song (Happy,)" featuring Jay Z and Beyoncé, and bonus tracks including "All Day" and the "Chicago Remix," featuring Common, Chief Keef, Lil Durk and Rhymefest. The Def Jam logo is seen in the background.

The list even came with a release date (Nov. 24) and was posted to the IG account of media giant Hot 97. It seemed too real to be fake, especially since West held an impromptu listening session of new music while in the French capital.

However, "This is bogus," a rep for West confirmed with Billboard.

No other details on his next LP were offered.

Fans have been anticipating a new West album at least since Rick Rubin hinted that he had a whole 'nother Yeezus on deck in June of last year. West himself said that we may expect one this season, but hadn't yet decided on a release date as of August. "I go back and forth. Like, should it be September or should it be October? Should it be November?" he told GQ.

A similar track-list hoax, complete with a Columbia Records logo, circulated this past weekend. The target: Beyoncé's album.
