Mariah Carey And DJ Khaled To Join Latto On ‘Big Energy’ Remix
Latto’s hit “Big Energy” samples Tom Tom Club’s 1981 single, “Genius Of Love,” which many recognize from Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy,’ so it’s only right the legendary singer hop on the remix.
Joined by DJ Khaled, the upcoming remix is set to drop on Monday (March 28). It comes after a not-so-subtle Twitter exchange between Latto and Carey, in which they hinted at a collaboration through clever emojis.
The original “Big Energy” was released via StreamCut/RCA Records last September and hit No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, which marked the 23-year-old ATLien’s first top 40 hit.
The remix will follow the release of Latto’s 777 album, which arrived on March 25. It features star-studded appearances from Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, Kodak Black and Childish Gambino.
