Marc Lamont Hill Claims GloRilla’s Sister Tried to Scam Him for $5K

Hill said the request came during outreach for an interview request about the Memphis rapper’s family feud.

GloRilla’s drama with her sister Victoria Woods, aka Scar Face Woods, carries on.

Marc Lamont Hill told listeners of “The Joe Budden Podcast” that he nearly paid what he called an attempted fee from Woods during recent outreach about the rapper’s family drama. Hill said the exchange played out like a negotiation: Glo’s sister asked for “five bands” ($5,000) to participate in an interview, and he countered with $2,500 — and ultimately didn’t pay.

“I didn’t get scammed, but we was on the verge,” Hill said.

“She said, ‘I need all the money right now.’ I said, ‘You want me to CashApp you $2,500 right now?’ She said, ‘Yeah…that's how business works.’”

Hill laid out the interaction on the show while discussing the weeks-long public dispute between the Memphis rap superstar and Woods. Hill said he shared his network policy with Woods that payment would be received following the interview. “She said, ‘No, 50/50 split.’” He agreed, saying he’d send her half before the interview and half after, which he thought to be “fair.” However, Woods didn’t think it was fair. She responded, saying, “‘My scheduler won't even put it on the books until I'm paid in full.’”

Hill declined, which opened up Woods’ negotiation skills. She went down to a $500 fee upfront, and when Hill said no, she went down to $250. “I said, ‘It's cool. … I wish you the best of luck.’” Hill said he “would never see” Woods again.

The Woods family feud kicked off earlier this month when Woods publicly accused GloRilla of abandoning and not financially supporting their parents and siblings — allegations that sparked viral clips and online back-and-forths.

Glo eventually responded, sharing everything she’s done for her parents and addressed her sister on the livestream, “I ain’t gone talk about half the stuff you did, just leave it alone. You doing you right now, keep doing you, [but] keep my family out of it, and keep me out of it. My people that I f*ck wit, they straight.”
