Laverne Cox celebrated her 50th birthday in style on Sunday, May 29.
The Inventing Anna actress posted a video sashaying poolside like one would on a runway. According to PEOPLE, Cox rocked a Fendace bikini in an Instagram post captioned, "50...This what it look like. Happy birthday to me."
But it didn't stop there, as the actress also shared some of her birthday fun via her IG stories. Cox lit a candle on a Carvel cake before blowing it out and smiling at the camera, reports PEOPLE.
Cox started her celebrations early last Thursday when she showed up at the Moxy Hotel rooftop in New York City, dressed as her newly released Barbie doll.
The LGBTQAI+ activist had a Barbie created by Mattel in her likeness as part of the brand's Tribute Collection. The company has also honored other individuals, such as Lucille Ball and designer Vera Wang.
Cox has now made history by becoming the first trans woman to have a Barbie doll designed after her. Cox's Barbie is among the best-selling dolls on Amazon and was released on Wednesday (May 25).
