Attorney disputes NJ girl's gang-rape account

TRENTON, N.J. – The attorney for one of five suspects accused of gang-raping a 7-year-old New Jersey girl says the child was not raped.

Attorney Robin Lord suggested Thursday in court that the girl was pressured to give a false account of what happened at a party.

Lord is representing 20-year-old Gregory Leary, who was ordered held on half a million dollars' bail.

Leary is also accused of statutory rape and endangering the welfare of a child. Trenton police say he also had sex with the girl's 15-year-old stepsister.

Police say the stepsister sold the child to have sex with as many as seven men and boys at a party in a vacant apartment. The stepsister has also been arrested.

A 19-year-old and three juvenile teenagers also are charged with the girl's rape.
