Rep For Felicia "Snoop" Pearson Claims Authorities Targeted Actress

A rep for actress Felicia “Snoop” Pearson says The Wire star is being “targeted” by officials.  Pearson was arrested last week on suspicions of a role in a heroin dealing operation.

In a statement, Snoop’s rep denied the chargers and noted, “Felicia Pearson has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty."  The rep claims she is being “targeted” not only for her role on the popular HBO series, but also because she is a Baltimore resident.

Her rep said that she was a changed woman, adding that Snoop “is focused on living a positive life-style encouraging youth and formerly incarcerated women to make positive choices for themselves.”

Snoop was incarcerated for more than six years at the age of 14 for the killing of a woman.  She wrote about these experiences and her subsequent change in her autobiography, Grace After Midnight.

During her hearing on Friday, a judge denied bail for Snoop.
