Dr. Heavenly Refuses To Bring Negativity Into 2023: ‘I’ve Learned A Lot Through My Mistakes’ [EXCLUSIVE]

The ‘Married To Medicine’ star revealed to BET Lifestyle that she no longer drinks alcohol and has made a conscious effort to use less profanity.

Dr. Heavenly Kimes refuses to bring negativity into the new year! While chatting with us about her upcoming projects, the Married To Medicine star revealed that her year is off to an “amazing” start and she intends to keep it that way by prioritizing good vibes, family, entrepreneurship, and legacy building.

“I refuse to bring the negativity of 2022 into 2023,” Dr. Heavenly shared with BET Lifestyle. “Sometimes I look back on the things I’ve done and said, and it makes me cringe. Now, I think I’m in a better place. I’ve grown a lot. I’ve learned a lot through my mistakes.”

The award-winning dentist went on to share that she no longer drinks alcohol and that she has made a conscious effort to use less profanity. “I’m just trying to do the things that God wants me to do and be the person God wants me to be,” she noted.

“I’m just trying to do the things that God wants me to do and be the person God wants me to be."

After an explosive season of Married To Medicine, which included heated drama with her friends and castmates, Dr. Heavenly said that she’s learned from her ways and sees what she could have done differently. “I will do whatever it takes to make things right,” she vowed.

In hopes of getting to know Dr. Heavenly, we asked her to share what she’s like outside of the show. She happily responded, “I'm a homebody.”

The Florida native went on to share that contrary to many people’s belief, she much rather stay home than go out to parties—unless it is to support the other ladies.

“I like to stay home, cook, and sit in the backyard,” she shared. “What makes me happy are the simple things, and I always show gratitude. I thank God for all my opportunities. I also self-reflect on all the great things God has given me—my beautiful husband, my wonderful family, and my dogs. That makes me happy, self-reflecting.”

She added, “I also love to read books and talk about money, business, and relationships.”

On the topic of money, the millionaire entrepreneur recently added yet another block to the empire she’s building. Dr. Heavenly is set to kick off her Dr. Heavenly University 5-Day Challenge (March 1-5), which is a masterclass coaching program that focuses on helping entrepreneurs and industry professionals excel in all areas of business and investment.

“We’re going to build millionaires through the power of compound interest and teaching people international investments,” she explained.

Although she has a lot on her plate, the multi-hyphenate star says she always makes time for her husband Dr. Damon Kimes and their family. “I always schedule my life around my husband’s schedule, so at 5pm I’m always free. We’re almost empty nesters. My two boys are out of the house and my daughter is a senior in high school. I spend time with them all the time, but they’re pretty much grown.”

As for if Dr. Heavenly has any plans of retiring anytime soon, she confidently responded “no.”
