Chris Brown Opens Up: "It's a Lot of Pressure"

Twelve hours before his Good Morning America incident, the singer sat down for an exclusive talk with BET News.

R&B super star Chris Brown has had a drama-filled week surrounding Tuesday's release of his highly anticipated album, F.A.M.E.

On Monday, I sat down with the singer after his visit to 106 & Park, and among many other things, he shared: "Being expected to deal with these situations on your own, you don't really always know it—what to do or what to say or how to act. So that's when you get a messed-up interview, that's when you get me cussin out a cameraman—me doing something that's not normally in my character because it's a lot of pressure. But you have to take into consideration that it’s the game and it’s the business, and you can be better but also be smart about it."

Just twelve hours later, those words seemed prophetic when Brown's promotional tour took him to the set of ABC's Good Morning America, where he reportedly had a violent meltdown in his dressing room and stormed out shirtless after he was asked about Rihanna during an interview.

The latest incident is a setback for the R&B star, who was not only making a strong comeback with the public, but also the courts. A judge overseeing Chris Brown’s community service said she was blown away by Chris's work ethic, commenting, "No one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have."
