Ja Morant Surprises Waitress With $500 Tip
A sweet moment between Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant and a hard-working waitress is going viral.
Footage of what happened was captured by a videographer making a documentary about the All-Star player and shows a waitress asking Morant who he was after giving her the tip. He replied that he was “Black Jesus.”
After prying a bit more and learning he played for the Grizzlies, the waitress finally recognized the 22-year-old and audibly gasped. The woman then could not stop smiling as she ducked from the camera shot.

The clip went viral on Twitter with many praising Morant for being generous while others noted that charitable acts are a normal thing with him.
Morant himself replied to a tweet, writing, “Blessings come when you bless others.”
The $500 tip is just a drop in the bucket for the Grizzlies guard, who reportedly agreed to a five-year, $193 million contract extension last week with the total deal being worth up to $231 million, according to ESPN.
