Lil Boosie Drops His First Post-Prison Music Video
Lil Boosie is a free man ready to "Show the World" what he's made of in his new music video, his first since his release from the Louisiana State Penitentiary last month.
The Webbie-assisted track dropped two months before Boosie got out of prison, and the black-and-white visual depicts a celebration of sorts in honor of his return. Shot in his hometown of Baton Rouge, La., the music video features crowds of people from Boosie's neighborhood, in addition to clips of fans from New York, Texas and London.
Like most of his music, the lyrics for "Show the World" are inspired by real life, which Boosie told BET.com last month he feels has been missing from the game. "I don't hear people talking about single mothers, I don't hear people talking about kids trying to go to college and don't have the funds to go," he said. "I don't hear people talking about what's really going on in the neighborhoods, what's really going on period. You just really hear people mostly talking about themselves and what they got."
Despite being a free man, the rapper is still tethered by legal limitations. His performance in Mississippi next week was canceled due to parole restrictions.
